looking back at choices

discerning the details

nothing matters

one path

another path

all lead somewhere

all with unique outcomes

better? worse?

chosen? unchosen?

no worthiness in surmising

what ifs make no sense

one possibility reveals

endless other possibilities 

a new cipher

a new code to crack

circle back around

one way

then another

trod this direction or that

regrets are senseless 

humans make their way

according to an unknown grand plan 

they fit in 

each playing a role

thinking they chose the road
